I decided to do my first mod job. I have always been afraid of modding so I decided to do something easy and if it messed up then no probs. In fact it went really well and although could have been better is pretty good for a first go

Sorry this is not in WIP format but rather before and after, but im sure you will see

This is before. A Logic 3 PC Sprint Pad that has a 15 pin DSub
A joypad that prob will never be used again
    .

After I removed all components from the board and removed the cable. I then fitted it with a NEO GEO compatible wiring and made a 15pin female DSub. (MMMonkey).
I decided to remove all the auto fire points and fill those in including the ones at the top of the pad. I sprayed it with Dye rather than Paint so it would fuse with the plastic and leave a smooth finish.

you will notice that I kept the L and R buttons and what I decided to do there was add an extra set of Start and Select buttons to them. I thought this would be a better option than fill it in.

The buttons for the ones that are vigilant will notice that A B are at the TOP and CD at the bottom, This is not the same layout as a CDZ pad but was done by me intension ally as I prefer it that way.

So what do you guys think of my revived PC pad that is now a NEO GEO Pad

Aww, poor controller! Lol. Nah, if you're not using it and it's not exactly sought after, why not put it to good use?

Interesting recolouring. What sort of dye did you use? Is it fast and scratch resistant?

By the way, light the object you want to photograph rather than relying on flash. That'll make it clearer and hopefully should help you with your focus. Even a desk lamp would suffice.

Also a nice background makes a big difference, but we digress I guess :)

its not a needed controller so I did it other wise I wouldn't have.

I used VHT Vinyl Dye, I took the idea from this case mod thread
    http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=7&threadid=68800
its supposed to be scratch and crack resistant

that's my bed sheet LOL yeah its odd colour but was on sale and a sheet is a sheet

Vinyl Dye is good, but it can scratch very easily though.
