I've had it with crappy Chinese leads that make my TV hum and are generally shitty. Unfortunately, official Sony RGB scart leads are a right bitch to find amongst the bazillion fake ones. Let me know if you have one for sale.

I'm pretty sure that humming is due to poor shielding and lack of a ferrite core at each ends..

Have you thought about rewiring it and adding either copper shielding to each wire (which is an expensive metal, unless you have scraps). Or, you can use aluminum shielding from USB 2.0 cables lying around.
