So I recently got my hands on a modded xbox from a neighbor. Its running 1.1.0 XBMC on it. He was gonna toss it, so I took it! Now i'm trying to set it all up, updating it, adding games, etc. I figured out how to FTP, and now my problem is that when I correctly configure the IP, and run FTP, it wont accept my password. I have tried multiple combinations including xbox/xbox, but nothing. Its not mine originally, so I really have no idea what the password is.
Here is the error I get on Filezilla ( I have also tried different FTP programs)
Response: 220-Welcome to XBOX FileZilla (XBMC)
Response: 220-version: XBMC:FileZilla version 1.5.6, (based on FileZilla Server 0.8.8)
    Response: 220 http://sourceforge.net/projects/xbfilezilla
    Command: USER xbox
Response: 331 Password required for xbox
    Command: PASS ****
Response: 530 Login or password incorrect!
Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server

However I can get it to connect through ping test, and if a put test as the username. But that only connects me to the C drive. My questions is how can I get connected to everything else to update XBMC, and add games?
    Thanks!

I'd load up AID, and replace XBMC with UnleashX. See if your FTP works then, it should reset your FTP password to the default xbox:xbox

There's your problem. Somewhere in XBMC's settings is a place where you can edit a guest account (apparently set to 'test' in your case, or it might be the default, dunno) and an all-access account (usually 'xbmc' w/ password 'xbmc' iirc) and their corresponding passwords. Use that to reset everything to known values.

How would I load up AID to replace XBMC with UnleashX? I got it to load up to Xenium, it that where? Also I when i'm in xenium, I can ftp to the xbox (all drives) but it won't let me view folders, so I have no idea how I would update Xbmc to fix that. Could I just FTP over something to have it install in the E drive to fix this?

So Would I need to find a way to switch to a master account somehow? ANy ideas of how?

Burn it to a disc, and run it. That's really all there is to it, and follow the onscreen menus.

Make sure 'Enable FTP Server' is set (seems like it already is), set 'FTP User Name' and 'FTP User Password' to known values, (maybe restart XMBC just to make sure changes are applied,) try logging in again - should work now.

So I just need to find the .iso and burn it to a dvd -r? Run it through Xenium I take it? Also I just found out that my disk drive is inoperable.... It wont open.

I have tried this multiple times. The only options I am given is test or xbox as username, and whatever I set the password too, I still get the 530 error.

Now I have a new problem. I got AID to work on disk, installed unleash X. It prompts you to restart the Xbox, so I did. Not it only boots into Xenium OS screen, and I can't launch into anything but xbox dashboard. It won't the AID disk, but now the FTP works! Is there anyway I can add a dashboard through FTP, or set it up to work? CHanging the file location?

In Xenium there is also the option to add a launch item, but whenever I try it says "error: file doesn't fit". So I cannot add anything that wasy

You are just having all sorts of problems aren't you xD

The only way to fix that issue it to reflash the Xenium OS, you have to either boot the xbox into recovery mode via the Xenium OS interface or you have to flip the switch on the chip its self and force it into recovery mode.
you then have to burn the Xenium OS file onto a cd and load that into the xbox and have it pull the new Xenium OS file.
Thats the only way I've ever managed to fix that issue, resetting to factory never seems to manage to fix that, only a OS refresh does.
