Hey there! After several years of collecting, I finally met my goal in N64DD to collect everything that is known to exist. though it's not ofcourse 100% complete when I count the Mario / Zelda ura / US dev kit... but I am very proud that I came this far to collect every promo/unit/prize there is. General picture: This is my Full N64DD Collection, it has 3 shipping boxes , 4 N64DD units 2 randnet units, a retail 64DD . and the boxed Dev. all the games including Golf / Doshin 2 / Doshin Sample and a Blue Disk the standard 7 games I have twice, sealed and not sealed. All the newspapers and flyers twice (folded and non-folded) all the prizes/promo like the coffee mug / handkerchief / bandana / OST and VHS tape lastly all the papers like quotes / cards / flyers / invoices / membership cards etc. below I have everything in more detail. -- well what do we see here beside the games, on top we have the Doshin the Giant comics, 6 where made, not sure how to obtain them back in the days.. below that I have 6 N64(DD) DDS DEV tapes, I have dumped them (thanks to assembler) and I made a topic here about it Below that is the N64DD Dev unit. the book looks horrible from here but it's the flash of the camera. only the top is a bit messy. Then we have a Blue Disk which I still don`t know what is on there, my guess is empty but who knows, a Xmas card from 1999 when you where a member, and the red thing is a promo bandana of Doshin 2. Other cool things is the Doshin the Giant OST and 2 'Disk bags' On this picture is displaying the most random thing I own ... a strip of Randnet Ductape... don`t ask.. all the guides and books are there about Doshin the Giant, together with the 1999 and 2000 Xmas cards. Between my blue disk and Doshin Sample is my Smoke N64 which is included in the bigger shipping box and is never used it is on top of my Dev unit (with serial number DJ 0000092 if you want to know) the box on front, is a N64DD Keyboard in the original shipping box. So this side has the 'rarest' stuff known. next to the Doshin Sample cart I have 2 Membership cards that you get when you became a Randnet member, on them is #39000! the other is sealed on the 'white table' I displayed a Doshin the Giant handkerchief that 300 are made (I own 2 of them) and next to it Japan Expo96 tickets! These are promo items of Doshin the Giant 2. Now comes the cool stuff.. The Randnet Coffee Mug, there are 50 made. it's complete in box and it was the last prize they gave away before Randnet closed. I have never seen one for sale ever. and I paid the not-caring-how-much-it-will-go-for-I-need-this prize On the mug are displaying all the avatars that you could pick from the Randnet service. On the big/small shipping boxes I have the bi-monthly flyers and newspapers that they gave away, on top is a Doshin VHS tape that I also dumped here. on this topic! The white shipping box is a mystery for me, first I thought games where shipped inside but only 2 fit in, my guess is that Golf/Doshin 2 where shipped in it because you could not get them in stores but only online. on top is just a flyer promoting Golf and Doshin 2. I have made a 'small book' that is showing all the papers inside like invoices / quotes / packingslips etc. not sure what the best way of displaying is.. maybe a video or something here is a nice picture of it it also includes the #39000 membership card Phew... so that's it! I hope you had a nice read.. at least I loved writing about it, if you have any questions or better.. have anything N64DD related that I don`t have. please contact me Thanks!
Awesome collection you got there! How long did it take for you to acquire everything and when did you start collecting?
omg thanks for the fantastic positive comments.. instead of ' what is 64dd' .. I love this forum lol a few answers sometimes I got very lucky.. sometimes I paid over-value if you know what I mean.. I just got to have it, examble the dev kit I got for 350 dolars including a blue disc .. but this was before it was ' famous' on youtube.. I paid more for that coffee mug =) I already have contacted a friend and he`ll dump what is on there, I had some ' traumatizing' thoughts about shipping it because when I purchased it.. it was actually lost in the mail for 30 days! I WHOLE collection. outside 64DD I invested almost 5 years on it. based on daily reseach
It's always a pleasure to see a passionate collectors being faithfully dedicated to his goals. I wanted to ask you which was the hardest item to obtain so far, not necessary about the price you paid (in this case I guess it was the radnet mug). Furthermore, given the chance, you'd purchase additional systems multiple times, or you're set as you are?
