I've fallen in love with the Neo Geo recently and I've begun a fighters collection.

Here's all I have so far, SVC Chaos is arriving tomorrow and I'm buying NAM '75 from a forum member this week.

Apologies for the poor pic, only have my iPhone camera at the moment.

I'm focusing purely on Japanese copies because they're cheaper and I prefer the full box art. UK and US versions look like budget releases in my opinion.

Awesome start to a Neo Geo collection. At least you actually get something quite substantial for your money with those big-ass cartridges. Get your hands on either of the Last Blade games as they are (imho) the best fighters on the system, along with MotW.

I'm looking to start collecting Neo Geo stuff, or at least a few things plus a Neo Geo. I'd love a copy of Garou, but I haven't seen it for any less than £300. :(

Nice start though, KoF are great fun! About how much was each installment may I ask? I see them go for £50-80.

    Nice!

I thought you had stopped collecting NeoGeo!

    KOF 94 - £24
    KOF 95 - £50
    KOF 96 - £40
    KOF 97 - £40
    KOF 98 - £50

NEVER! It's the only thing I collect now, just making enough money to grab a sub £100 title a month so doing all I can to get as many carts as I can. I want to finish the KOF's collection but I'm broke until next month when I'll pick up 99.

Was pretty sure you'd only recently got your Neo Geo thus only just started collecting for it.

Your doing well for 1 game a month, methinks you have been a bit frivilous some months.

I completely agree on the Jap box art, so much better. Not just on Neo Geo either.

I know its not the most popular place amoungst ASSEMblers but do you look at the marketplace on Neo-Geo.com so cheap (by neo geo standard) stuff on there.

I have checked out neo-geo.com but most sales seem to be in the US and I'm
quite impatient with shipping (can never wait for a new game). I have been a
bit naughty some months but I'm cutting back to 1/2 games a month so I don't end up blowing my years rent on carts. I don't intend to get every title but I have a pretty big want list. I want to get the slugs but will probably just get conversion carts, I'm not one for condition and sealed/rare crap etc, I just want to play the games without having the mess of an MVS and it's also nice to have something to display on the shelf.

Be careful when purchasing Neo Geo stuff - you get sucked right in, and before you know it - you've spent way too much money.

Also, don't buy games you wont play - in the end you will be upset with yourself.

If you saved up money, instead of buying the commons, you would get more satisfaction of owning Last Blade... can be had for $120+.

I'll have to post pics of my homecarts...

7 of the best games on the Neo... but most are pricey :(

    Rest are on MVS...

Good luck, and you know how to get ahold of me.

    TonK speaks the truth.

I also collect Japanese Neo Geo AES games. I need 2/3 of the Japanese library to complete my full collection. Good thing is that King of Fighters '94 is the only cheap one I'm owning ATM so not so much to spend on expensive games. I still have to buy the first Metal Slug which can be difficult one.

I have been collecting for years and the patience is the key. I must admit that there are some games which won't get playtime so often but I also enjoy the Quiz games which are in fact pretty funny if you can read Kanjis.

I wish that there were more AES collectors around nowadays.

Just waiting myself for Andro Dunos and Blazing Star to arrive in the post.

NAM 75 arrived this morning thanks to Aypok. Got the collection up to 9 games now which I think is fairly decent for someone who only started collecting back in May.
