So yesterday me and my buddy bunked our english mock exam (we've already passed) and were out on a field revising our maths. We somehow got talking about pork scratchings and he said how he'd swap 'the old POS' (our name for one of his guitars) for a packet. We struck up a deal and today it happened.

So for £0.49 I got this.

It also came with a Amp lead and a Benson Flying V bag. He also gave me a Amp for free a while back so im pretty much well on my way!

Nice deal. The backplate should be easily replaceable.

Cheapo Fender Strat imitations are usually pretty good fun to play, and are great for learning on, providing they're not already on the way out. The main thing that'll kill them is a crack where the neck meets the body of the guitar. They tend to be made of a cheap wooden ply and the tension takes its toll - if there's a crack there it's usually only a matter of time. You can only adjust the action so far (and it's a hassle each time).
