My new Sega Astro Cab!

Thanks everyone! Toshinden 2 is a VERY acquired taste, I don't force to many people to play it since the controls are sluggish and the graphics are painful for today's standards, but it's one game I grew up playing the shit out of! Sega Astros are soooooooo adaptable! It's awesome to switch between X-Men vs Street Fighter, Polystars and Killer Instinct 2! I know when I pick up my Naomi or Model 3 boards it will require an IO board thing-a-mabob for the JAMMA's, whatevs tho, it's all easy street from here on! I knew Toshinden 2 on an Astro would make people's skin crawl hahaha, at least it's not War Gods!

 

Warms MY heart to know someone else has love for this game! I knew people would flame about it not being Marvel vs Capcom 2 or something like that!

I actually like the first game more than the second one, but as only the second one was released in the arcades so you get my full approval. :thumbsup:

 

I would love to get one of these and chuck a Virtua Fighter 3 board into it. Virtua Fighter 3 cabs are pretty hard to find, but these (while expensive) don't seem to be that rare. Really cool though.

 

Picked up a Mortal Kombat II! One of the last games I pictured dropping int he Candy, next will prolly be Killer Instinct 2

That's pretty cool. How do you get larger boards to fit through that tiny door in the front?

 

I have a pair of Astro City's, my fav cab, I have one setup for vert one setup for horizontal play, cuz moving that monitor is a serious job

 

Even I managed to rotate the monitor in an Astro by myself (with a good amount of curse words, but still, I'm a weakling). Getting it out was easier than getting it back in, I almost missed the screws! Doing it with two people should be no problem though.

 

Yeah, the boards are no joke, I'm planning to get it screwed to it's own plank of wood so I can just slide it in. Luckily all the shooters I wanted are on the Neo Geo MVS, so I don't need to risk killing myself moving a crt just yet.

 

I always move mine by myself with my wife on stanby, I get all warmed up, get my motocycle gloves on and go for it, to be honest I dont see how two people could be any help as you need to be stood with both hands around the monitor...
