Amazing and neat wall of PC stuff! Thanks so much for sharing, we really don't see this too often in here
God damn. Can you take this from another angle? I'm slowly collecting Big Boxed games like you do, I've almost reached 100 games and there's still a lot more to get . Some of my absolute favorites in there, fantastic collection!
Yeah, i guess i´m going to make some new pictures with a better view. And i just noticed that photobucket only provides a direct link with reduced Quality, so i switched to imgur.
Very nice big box collection and in such nice condition too! ... Just wish it was in alphabetic order.
Thanks. I really can´t order it alphabetically because i would have to rearrange half of the shelfs every time ^^. Anyways, i made a new front picture and for the sake of completeness i also added my secondary Collection (not played/tested/catalogued yet) and Cache (games i planned in the near future). Thats essentially what i have right now. I´m not finished before i have every PC game i have played yet (and some of them are really rare if you want them in the original Box).
You seem to play a lot of different genres. Anything from Adventure games, RPGs, Space sims/combat games, FPS games... Just like me . I can't help but drool at your collection and hope that mine will reach such levels one day.
Brings back memories. Now with a closer look, I've played quite a bit of those. I'm still waiting to set up my old computer to resume playing games from the good old days.
I don't like PC that much but it's better then emulator crap. Nice collection, Maybe I can get a good PC one day.
Ickis99 which games you now own would you consider the hardest ones to collect? This could be due to rarity or price (or both I guess). From my own collection, I'd say Dink Smallwood, Oddworld Abe's Exoddus (couldn't find the European version anywhere), Half-Life 2 Collector's Edition and Sonic 3D. All of these boxed obviously .
Nice collection. I see you have Resident Evil 2, nice. I always wanted that game; I had a demo of it that came with an issue of PC Gamer. It's probably the best version of the game. I wish I still had some of my older PC game boxes. I had my original Half Life box for a long time, but just recently it disappeared.
Thank you. @f2bnp: Thinking back, it wasn´t too hard for most of the games. When i was looking for the old Might & Magic, Ultima, King´s Quest and Space Quest Boxes i thought that they are very rare but i was surprised to find them quickly on Ebay. Even the prices were mostly decent (from my point of view). I think i had two games that cost me about 100€, Loom and the the first Ultima Trilogy. Some of the Lucasarts Classics took some time to find in a complete Edition. But they showed up eventually and for less than they are worth ^^. The only games i had no luck so far are the two Tsunami Games "Return to Ringworld" and "Blue Force" as well as the German Edition of "Das schwarze Auge 3"(aka Realms of Arkania 3: Shadow over Riva).
Great set of games, always interesting to see other people's older PC games. Can be a hassle to store but it's worth it.
You've got some real gems in there. I wish I could've kept all of my boxes, but it's not something I thought about much as a kid (and they do take up a lot of space). I (well, my mom) was lucky enough to find a sealed CD-ROM copy of King's Quest V at a thrift shop a few years ago. Seems like that's a good place to check for ye olde PC games. Thanks for sharing.
