Oh right, the original game had none of those either. The double (W) notes were added at Project DIVA 2nd.

The arcade game got hold notes instead, where you can get additional points, based on how many hold notes you can hold down without letting go. There are also cases where multiple notes can appear at once (in pairs, or even triangles or quadrilaterals).

The Chance Time is known as Challenge Time instead, and only exists for Normal and Easy difficulties.
