So I have finally completed my matching sets of Dreamcast. My skeleton VMU is finally on the way to complete the set. I was about to buy one on eBay for $60 last night till a friend of mine sent me a link of one that still has the cap as well unlike the Seaman VMU. Here is a picture of what I got for under $10 shipped!! That saved me $50 right there. I also have blue PAL logo's from the controller and lid coming in the mail to match the blue LED's. Has 4 wire region free chip installed as well. Just got this in the mail today as well. Here is the rest of the set I am sure you have seen as I post pics of my new stuff all the time. Then I have completed my yellow set, the controller is custom with white led's, clear bottom from millennium pad with matching VMU/SD card adapters. Again a 4 wire modchip as been installed to make it region free. And of course my blue and black set made with an official blue Sega lid on a Sega sports bottom. The controller is made of three pads, black VMU slots, controller cable, triggers, and analogue/d-pad from a Sega sports pad. A clear black top from an official USA black pad, and a clear bottom from a millennium pad instead of the ugly grey one. It also has the Sega sports black on orange swirl stickers on top and pad. This one has a dual BIOS for Dreamshell/Katana region free DEV BIOS with neat new boot animation. Here is the modchipped v0 board inside with metal heat pipes for optimal cooling And my latest one I got, so new in fact it hasn't arrived  I will be doing a blue/clear pad with this as well with blue LED's and I have a NiB blue VMU on the way. So whatcha think? Kinda unique having all matching colors I think. I still haven't figured out what controllers/VMU's will go with this when done as it needs some custom work for the official buttons to work with the third party case. I am also taking jinn's advice going to try to dye the case a deeper red And here are some pics of some cool hardware I have as well for good measure. ASCII FT Pads Hard DDR Pad (Matches Smashey9's as we both bought from same seller) VGA to Component 720p Upscaler for Dreamcast games Dragoncast VS Cable, just got a new one!! My Dreamcast TLS/Netopia Setup for networking my 56k into my router Agetec Arcade stick Video of my first customized system ever, dual BIOS, SD card mod, & overclocked http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VN0TujgCj-U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJmwB58Ht_U My work machine used for ReviveDC testing and TOSEC dumping as well as Geist Force testing My lightgun and kids Dreamcast on my CRT, it has a ruined eject button got it cheap. My discolored "blue" system I got cheap as well Black system with broadband adapter My Sega CD /32X & Everdrive set, has region free BIOS chip installed. Megadrive has been stereo sound modified as well and is a NON-TMSS system. Aka the system without the Sega trademark screen, hence the TMSS (TradeMark Splash Screen) And I just bought this awaiting it to come in the post to remove the three ugly bricks for power supplies. This will power all three at once with a normal power cord and no bigger then a PS2 PSU. I have to use the 32x on a different system as when all three were plugged in with the bricks it gave interference, this is to remedy that so I can use just my Megadrive model 1 and not need the Genesis anymore. Here is my region free BIOS modded & modchipped Saturn with Japanese boot animation. Also my 1mb, 4mb, and official memory card for making homebrew SHMUPS with Dezaemon II More to come when I have time, the wife is on my arse about cleaning my electronic room. See you all later today!! Now go play from ReviveDC releases as I know this inspired some of you to play DC. Will post my games later today once I get the time to take pictures of the massive lot of them. BTW how does one embed youtube video's here? Nice collection. The clear case on the transparent DC looks a bit cloudy. I recently purchased an official clear DC case for $70 it looks much more clearer. They also threw in a clear JPN keyboard like the one you've posted here.
It is the crappy camera I used. I bought a true clear one that is 100% see through but the plastic is much cheaper then this one though made by the same company.
Cool consoles Atreyu. I'd like a matching silver system and accessories, but alas, I think I would go broke trying to get those items. Colorful! My DC game collection is pretty similar as I've been picking up some PAL titles lately, and had previously gotten a lot of JPN only titles to flesh out my US games collection. It's disconcerting that some of the JPN games on my want list like GGX look like they come in the extra wide cases which are hard/expensive to replace when they break. Jealous of Karasu and Evil Twin Those are two that I'm waiting to pick up for a semi-reasonable price or trade.
Nice collection. I envy you the MoHo white label, I didn't know its existence. Can you share a pic of this one ?
A bit of an ecclectic mix of games from accross the regions hehe. The only US games I had were Quake III Arena and Alien Front Online. I keep meaning to pick up Prince of Persia Arabian Nights but never got around to it As for the Japanese games, Star Gladiator 2 is currently pretty high on my to do list though. The voldo on drugs guy (forget his name, maybe its prince or something) just cracks me up! I assume your PAL games are either exclusives, good deals, have extra content, or to play them in English? I think Sega Dreamcast games in DVD cases are evil so I pretty much avoid buying games or using them when possible, which is a little stupid as it means I'll probably never own Cosmic Smash or other similar games unless I get them for Naomi but meh. Each to their own! Top tip - if you start collecting white labels, don't discard the possibility of buying a game just because you have it already. You'll sometimes find an identical game with a different SKU (if you can call it that). I'll probably merge the thread with your Dreamcast console collection in the morning as presumably you will be updating both sets, it is simpler, easier and tidier to have them all in one place.
Test post. I think the merge broke something. EDIT: Nope. I think someone posted at the exact same moment I merged and it didnt make it through. Anyhow, I think you have some very strange modifications, but each to their own I have been quite tempted to do a less extreme version of colour matching myself and get a US Red controller for port A (my favourite colour, but also button matched) and a US Blue controller for port B (my best mates favourite colour, but also button matched ). The japanese coloured controllers have the connector for the controller port coloured too which is a very nice touch, but they don't have a deep red or navy blue I think. Its that pinkish looking red or turquoise / aqua blue looking thing I've noticed but I haven't looked too hard for them, stocking up on games for the moment. I wouldn't have bothered with getting matching colored VMU or PuruPuru packs though. Well, I would, but the standard grey matches the maple expansion surround and you won't see them anyway so it really makes no difference what colour they are to me. Maybe a red and blue VMU but grey/standard purpuru pack at most hehe.
Thanks for merging them as I felt stupid after posting as I said to myself why not merge the threads? Glad you guys enjoyed looking. And only my clear pad has a clear tip, the rest besides the black pad with LED's all have grey cords. The black pad is a mixture of three different pads, a Millennium pad for the clear back, Sega Sports pad for the VMU holder & controller wires, then I used the top of a smoke black USA pad as unlike the Millennium pad it doesn't have the words plastered across the top of the pad. All of my PLA games are regional exclusive except Power Stone 2 I picked up for $5 so I couldn't pass as all my system's have either chips or dual BIOS mods installed. That and The PAL Jet Set Radio has better tracks then the USA counterpart and it identical song & content wise as De La Jet Set Radio but only runs about $15 USD NiB shipped from the UK. So instead of dropping a ton of cash on De La I went with the PAL as the only thing it is missing from De La is Japanese language files which I can't read any way. As for the rest like Last Blade 2 I went with the Japanese one for a few reason's, blood instead of sweat and I got the Final Edition with more content. And DOA2 LE has extra characters over the USA counterpart. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure FMS was bought over the USA version as it is the only with VGA support. And I am not a fan of DVD cases either, why switch it up so late in it's life span? They already went from white covers to black in the USA region then that. I haven't found a good deal on Sonic Adventure Limited Edition complete yet so I am using the DVD case for now, and Shenmue II was sent to me destroyed by the post in a trade I made with someone so I just bought a DVD case that holds 4 disc till I can piece a case together for them. As for white labels I had about 20 or more left but I fell on hard times and had to sell some of my more rare titles like Flintsones, Resident Evil 2 and a few other HTF white labels.
Sorry to hear the you had to sell some of your better white labels... and also that I missed out on your Flintstones disc.
Going to be updating this soon as i got some more cool hardware and about 20new Dreamcast titles to add.
Any reasons you just don't use the broadband adapter for your router instead of using 56k modem? (never mind, I just read your reason on the other post in the Seganet games thread.)
Do you still have the Moho white label? I would like to see a closeup pic of it please, never seen it before
Going to update this soon, my USA set is 100% now I am only waiting on one "All-Star: replacement and Shenmue Limited Edition to arrive this week and i have all 253 USA games plus all Demo's even ODCM vol1-11, both Generator disc, and the AT&T Worldnet Disc.
USA set has 247 games actually, plus Sonic Adventure LE & Shenmue LE plus 17 Sega All-Star Games plus the 3? Not for sale bundles of the Dreamcast Sonic Pack Demos a part
I own the entire Sega All Star set. There's plenty more NFR titles for Dreamcast that include the Smashpack Bundle, and handful of Sega Sports games that were bundled in 2 separate sports console packages. Then there are many reprint variants of games that addressed package correction issues like MvC1, Chu Chu Rocket, Tennis 2K2, Rainow Six etc etc.
