a few handsewn plushies I made when I was bored and still had some fabric left from my cosplays. I hope you like them! Earthworm Jim Jim is all hand sewn, except for a few parts, which are painted. Fabric I used is very soft and cuddly. Worm-Jim is around 35cm long and if you knot his body and put him into the suit he's around 40cm tall! I didn't want him to be that big, but I had no choice Worm-Jim has a wiring inside, so you can pose him (only the last 10cm of his end don't have a wiring, because you have to knot him for putting him into the suit). His suit has a wiring only in the arms, so you can pose them...First I wanted to put some into the legs as well, but he will never be able to stand on his own, so I didn't do it. I ever wanted a EWJ plushie but there aren't any around, so I did my own I didn't have green fabric, so I couldn't include Snott...but maybe one day I will...maybe also Peter, but for now I'm finished. Classic Yoshi I still love this style on Yoshi and always wanted to have a plushie of this look he had in Mario World (and almost the whole SNES era). He's all hand-sewn (like all of my plushies) with really soft fabric and he's the biggest toy I've ever sewed with over 50cm! Bigger than my cat...He has some wiring inside, so you can pose him. Only his eyes are drawn, the mouth and nose is stitched. I'm not so satisfied with his eyes, but I just couldn't do any better. I didn't use any inspiration from my other two original Yoshi plushies, because I wanted to do my own thing. I hope you can see that. Bomberman I always wanted a Bomberman plushie so bad, but whenever I look on ebay I can't find anything. So I did him on my own. Bombi's around 35 cm tall and has a wiring inside so you can pose him, but sadly his head is too heavy and so he can't stand on his own... He took me two days of sewing (everything is hand-sewn again) and his eyes are painted (without his serious look, I thought he looks cuter this way) and his belt buckle is just glued on. The golden cloth was impossible to sew without destroying I based his look on the Nintendo 64 Games, that's why he has longer legs and arms, I just like him a bit more that way.
Not gunna lie, I want them all! Detachable Earthworm Jim is indeed awesome. + Yoshi looks damn cute. :love_heart:
Wow! They are awesome! You sure have skill. May i suggest Velcro eyebrows for bomberman? Then you could change the angle and position to give him different expressions
Thanks to all of you, I'm you like them! I will think about the eyebrows, MaxWar :friendly_wink: As for the rest, I don't have any sewing patterns at all, I just take a piece of fabric and start with it. I don't think about so much, I just start. I also sew cosplays, maybe that's what got me into the plushies.
you mind showing us the cosplay stuff too? i think the work people put into those costumes is some real art. so long as its not the famous naruto that everyone does at every cosplay
Very impressive! Bomberman plushies were definitely made, I think I saw quite a few of them on Yahoo Auctions (Japan, so it will be quite a hassle to get them).
