The Slim Proto I have was last owned by Dave. (Xenon.7, Detox, Xenomega9) I originally traded my XNA for it. In return I got the kit, extremely rare accessories, and some software hack work that I couldn't do myself. Thought I would give you guys a little showcasing of some obscure stuff. It's pretty cool. XboxSurgeon, I feel you'll like this the most as you've been on a hunt for Dev power connectors for a long time, based off one of your YouTube vids. First thing you'll notice is the RED Led. It actually has Prototype disclosures on the board itself. Basically when you plug the console into some sort of power supply, it immediately glows red without actually turning on the console. It actually looks really evil and menacing at night. Like it's ALIVE! Once you power the console on, it ofcourse makes the usual prototype dings from the speaker box inside which is a completely different sound from the retail consoles. The disc eject sound is completely different as well. The most fascinating thing however, is that the Led cycles from red... slowly to orange... then to green. Very interesting piece. Next thing ofcourse is the cool stickers. Third is the back and prototype disclosures. Next is power connectors. Very prototype. Basically these were designed for the FAT bricks before the actual Slim PSUs were made available for devs. One is for my Slim Proto, and the other is for the very VERY early Alpha Slims. Next is a fat prototype power brick which led glows red and adds to the evil effect. The fan inside the PSU is also larger and a lot louder. Then there's the Slim Prototype PSU that was eventually issued to developers so that they didn't have to keep using fat bricks. The end connector is specifically shaped for the Slim Prototype models and fits very well. The retail PSU connectors were shaped very differently and it's quite a bitch to try and use them on Protos. XboxSurgeon can attest to that. Last is ofcourse the beautiful unreleased 160GB Prototype Hard Drive. Pretty short rundown, but hope you guys enjoyed it! Thanks!
I like it! I have one that could pass as its twin. I am very jelly over those power adapters. I do not have any of those! Very nice find mate, very nice!
