Sonic Xtreme Remake - Metal Sonic Boss Stage Hey there, I hope I'm posting this in the right forum, just wondering if a few of you might be interested in a project I've been working on for the past few months, it's a remake of the Metal Sonic boss stage from Sonic Xtreme. The current version of this project is Version 2, the project was made in Game Maker but I'm hoping to move to Ultimate 3D once I gain enough knowledge how it actually works. The idea of this remake is to research and study into the 3 magazine shots that have been floating around on the net in order to get a good idea what was actually on the level. I have also been very lucky to hear from hl718, who has provided me with a lot of information that the screenshots couldn't tell us. The current version shows off a few of the basic foundations of the gameplay which I'm hoping to expand on, in order to get a fully playable remake of the boss stage. Anyway here is a few screenshots: Metal Sonic recieving damage after a jump from Sonic. Metal Sonic defeated Sonic. If you're interested here's the download link in both .rar or .zip format: Sonic Xtreme Remake - Metal Sonic - V2.rar Sonic Xtreme Remake - Metal Sonic - V2.zip Enjoy! Credits: hl718 - For provided a lot of useful information! Matt360 - Helped me with a lot stuff within this remake, big thank you to him. Wingedwolf - For the original engine which was used as the base for this project. The Original STI Team - This remake wouldn't be here unless it wasn't for their hard work all those years ago.
I gave it a try just before. Looking good for an early effort. You just need to get the collision sorted on Metal Sonic.
Yeah I'm working on it, there's a lot of bugs with the collision, I'm hoping to release a Version 2.5 in a few months which will contain bug fixes people have found in the game with a few small extra features that didn't make it into this version.
Double post, sorry. Just a thought I make a quick screenshot: Lighting! So Metal Sonic doesn't look so flat. Needs to be a bit lighter but at least it's there.
I don't care how fun it is, I want to see this concept be used for something. A++ work man, keep it up.
