Great piece, but you could have copy pasted it into this topic, would have been a little easier :smt023

Sound like Tokyo Game Show was pretty good this year. I really hate those dickheads that stop you taking pictures , too. They wouldn't have stopped me though. I'm a master at covert photo taking. Just check out my Sega Arcade feature on my site. No photos my arse ! I just hid the camera under my jacket :-D Stiil, nice to see that the Sega both let you take photos.

Sad that it was SEGA's last TGS as SEGA, rather than part of the new holding company.

Jesus christ, SEGA was totally transformed when the AM# departments where renamed and made seperate companies, just because there's another overpayed dick in the head office, means that the day to day running will be that different.

Calm down. Why so over-reactive - and you know this how? SEGA was hardly 'completely transformed' when the AMs were spun off - it was still under the same executive board and stil owned by the same non-interfering parent company - CSK - that it always has been in its Japan-owned days. Sammy is anything but that, if their own statements are anything to go by (as well as their hostile tactics in the takeover and aggressive statements of what direction they see themselves Sterring SEGA in). In any case, if it's 'complete transformation' you're talking about - spinning of the dev houses was hardly that. Dissolving the entire comany, merging it completely with Sammy as part of a holding company is.

If you're going to hyperventilate over someone commenting on this year's TGS being SEGA as-we-knew-it's last, you have issues.

It's hardly about some 'overpayed (sic) dick in the head office'', although whoever runs the damn executive board obviously has every influence over the company, who in this case is now Sammy CEO Satome - it's about the direction in which the company will be taken.

Oh yeah, the new Saturn-style USB controllers looked sweet, and making one for the PS2 is pretty smart on SEGA's part what with the largets 2D fighter selection and market currently being the PS2.

Silverbolt: I thought of pasting, but I've made changes.... too much to bother with.

The booth was actually titled "Sega/Sammy" both having their own logos next to each other. In all honesty, I think Sammy's got some good ideas. Sega's making more sequels of old games now than they did w/ the Dreamcast, so that's just fine by me.
