My Xbox Solderless modchip, Can you give me info on it?

I had picked up an original Xbox with solderless modchip already installed. Works fine, loads backups from DVDr and came with a bigger harddrive installed (120GB) but I know nothing of Xbox modding and no other info was given regarding the chip. At this time I was disassembling the console to give the case a thorough cleaning and thought I would take the opportunity to take some video of the modchip. I unscrewed it from the board and show you all. If there are any experts that can give me any further info such as the modchips specifications, is it a specific model or a compatible copy? What are it's capabilities? Basically, any information regarding this particular chip would be great and appreciated in comments / message or video response THANKS!

yep its a knockoff Spiderchip. I had 2 of those back in the day and it was a horrible horrible chip

 

Depends what BIOS it runs will determine it's capabilities man. Best way to find out is through EvolutionX in settings.

 

How so? I mean it works booting backups and evoxdash, what issues did you have?

 

Xbox chips arent exactly complex.

Long as its making a good connection to the xbox, it should be fine. All it does is provide the bios on the LPC, which gets loaded to memory and then the chip isnt even used anymore.
