Mysteries of Doshin the Giant

Hello. My name is Andrew. In the past day, my younger brother and I have had the game Doshin the Giant. Already, it has given me a panic attack. I have a fear of blood, and this game did not help me with that fear.

My brother is nwrW.

A lot of what we found we could not find on the internet, so we must be incredibly lucky to have found these things. If someone could shed light on what these occurrences were, that would be amazing. Because quite frankly, it's a really creepy game so far and I don't like it.

The first thing I have on record from my brother is this picture of what seems to be screenshots of certain parts of the game.
This seems just, ya know, pretty normal. Nothing too bad. Some weird red guy in one of the pictures.

Then over here, we have.. I don't really know what this is. It appears sometimes while my brother plays, and you can't get rid of it unless you restart the console.

My brother ordered these weirdly. I just noticed the times for both are reversed. Anyways,
Next we have The Other Giant. That's what I call him.

This is the first picture my brother took. It depicts the main protagonist, (left) walking around, while there's another giant in the fog (right). We don't have a whole lot of pictures of it because it was a bit uncommon to see the other giant, but we do have some more pictures.


Now here, we have both the giants at the same place. When you go near the other giant though, the game freezes and screeches really loudly. Like, so loud our dad had to come in and yell at us. Not a fun time.

The final picture, I don't like to look at. I have a thing with blood. I don't like any depiction of it. The picture doesn't really do it justice, but trust me, it was really scary when I witnessed it, and gave me a panic attack because of how sudden it was and just the halt and... Just look.

This is seriously some creepypasta shit, and I don't like that. Is this game usually like this? I'm talking to MonkeyBoyJoey about it. I don't know what to really make of this, but if this game is usually like this, I can't play it. I don't know why I'm so uncomfortable about this game, but it just makes me freak the fuck out. @customBacon All I can say is welcome to Japanese gaming. I collect Japanese import consoles and games and I have seen and played much weirder games. (One example is LSD Dream Emulator) I guess when you get into Japanese gaming nothing really surprises you anymore. Not all Japanese gaming is like this of course, a small portion actually is, but it's that portion that you hear about and see.

 

After talking to Andrew, this game truly is dark and messed up. I always got a weird vibe from this game and now I know why. Even the album art is gruesome.

 

This game was cursed. I don't know how, and you really don't have to believe me, but it was. I broke it after an incident where it said in big letters something to me in English.


I took a picture just for proof, no weird creepypasta shit where there isn't any proof. I was playing tonight, when the words popped up, "Don't you recognize your own mother?".
This is particularly strange, because, as far as I know, my mother went missing when I was young. Seriously, you don't have to believe me on any of these things, you can think I'm a troll all you want but I'm just glad I destroyed it.

So instead of asking around to see if someone could back this up and see for themselves, you decided to break the disk, making sure it wont be played again. Wow I didn't see that coming.

 

I think the worst part of this is that you could have gotten some SOLID amounts of money should you have sold it instead.

i would have bought that doshin disk off of you for like, £300. seriously. what a waste

 

I recommend playing the european gamecube version . its multilanguage and has a readable manual explaining a few things.

first screen is simply the photo album. you can make shots of your favourite places in the game (R Button).

cant remember seeing this symbol from the 2nd pic or meeting another giant, but havent played it since a while.

 

Where is this picture?

Also, if you'd be so inclined, please snap a picture of the broken game. If you're that eager to substantiate your story, this shoudn't be an issue.

 

After some thinking, I would only imagine that the disc probably was bad in some way or another, one of the first cases of 64dd discs failing. The things 16-17 years old so its got to fail at some point. Then again, it could've happened in the actual game.

 

Seriously? Game scared me, so I broke it? Oh plz

 

Not really scary at all.. There are even reviews. This isn't obscure at all.

 

The "breaking" of the game is the final straw for me thinking this is a troll attempt...

"Hey, let's make profiles on this site that has a community who LOVES older, obscure, retro video games."
"Well, and do what?"
"Let's pick an obscure game that'd be expensive, make up a stupid story about it, then say we DESTROYED the game. They'll REALLY flip out!"

I've been wrong before, and I could very well be wrong here, but I just don't see it.

 

Graphical yes but also having a message say "don't you recognise your'e own mother" on a retail version on the game, not saying its impossible but very coincidental considering his circumstances, plus the fact that he's a new user, probably a secondary account from someone here I'm willing to bet this is fake

 

We can copy/paste his attempt at explaining himself whenever the shoutbox backs itself up.

The sadest is that copy of Doshin being destroyed.
And finally, we have a pic of the back of the game, not the face.
Is it really Doshin broken here ?
And if someone had murdered another rarest DD64 game and tries to fool us building this whole story and telling it's just Doshin ?

 

Op freaking out as he did says more about him than about anything else. Either he smokes way too much weed or he's trolling and smokes way too much weed.

 

In cases like this, weed would not normally bring the symptoms showed. But then again I'm not a doctor or a user of it.
