What do we have here? Mystery tubes! What could be in there? Let's look closer. Hmm! Let's look closer again! Yes, full tubes of NOS (new old stock) Nintendo IC ! What each one is for, who knows?
They are NES and SNES CIC (lockout) chips. D411 and D413A are NTSC and PAL SNES cart CICs. SNES consoles and some carts use surface-mounted versions. 6113B1 is the US NES cart CIC. Due to incompatibility with the 3193 chip used in early NES carts, the 6113B1 was never fitted in NES consoles. 3195A and 3197A are European (except UK and Italy) and UK/Italy/Australian type NES CICs, used in both consoles and carts.
Let me tell you, there's nothing quite like a candle lit dinner, a glass of fine wine, and a couple Nintendo IC mystery tubes.
Ha, cool. I've got tubes like that with eproms from Sega, wonder if this is how they used to come packaged from factories?
