I prophetised it, and it begins. Yesterday, i saw 2 n-gage games, the sims:bustin' out! and Sonic N, at a ridiculous price: 3.45 CAN each. i wonder if i should pick them for collecting purposes or to resell them in 10 years at incredibly high prices. :-D
Pick em up for me! I keep meaning to buy some N-Gage games, and at that price I might finally get around to it.
*laughs* Sometimes crap is just crap. You don't see Game.com games going for crazy prices now do you? -hl718
I've gotten a bunch for $5 thanks to CAG. You guys miss out on so many deals. And whoever says the N-Gage is crap obviously doesn't know what they are talking about.
i see them at ebgames B&M for $2 to $4 but since I dont own the system i never bought any, and I really REALLY doubt the ngage will be worth anything. the neo geo pocket color games are near worthless, and ngage is much worth than the NGPC, i actually thought the ngpc was a decent system
I think between Sidetalking and just plain goofy aspect ratio, the Ngage is a really sucky machine. The declarations the marketing guy did ("People see gamers as unadapted dorks and they don't get women, but the N-Gage is not lame like the other consoles, you can play it in public and not be ashamed, " or some other similarly worded crap) just plain killed the N-Gage for many other would-have-been customers. After that, it really made me happy to see it go down in flames. Way to go, marketing guy! I hope you were reassigned to an old, smelly, fish warehouse in Bumfuck (or another aptly named middle of nowhere little town). for that wonderful remark! Still, though, if you have the thing and like it, then it's great you can get the games for cheap.
I noticed that Xanadu Next (Falcom) is out at my local Gamestop. Been curious about that game for a while....
They still cost a fortune here in France. Awful, awful, awful machines. With poor marketing. What in the name of all that is holy were Nokia THINKING?! Still, if they drop to €20 per machine, and €5 per game, I may pick one up. Currently its at just under a €100 think here... bleugh! Awful machines. Clearly designed by people with no understanding of games.
The one thing to keep in mind now is that Nokia plans to incorporate N-Gage compatability/technology into some of their upcoming phones, which would be an "added feature" versus a dedicated machine. Perhaps this is the way they should have gone about it from the start, and maybe this will allow the format to thrive. Sort of a NUON-ization which could help prolong the format from where it is now. I also agree....there ARE some pretty sweet games on the N-Gage. Colin McRae, Pandemonium, the Splinter Cell games, Pocket Kingdom are all compelling and interesting softs.
