In case anyone's wondering: No games, this disc only has RealPlayer and SyncML as SIS. Half of the disc is taken up by a single promo video, then there's the Nokia Suite for PC and a bunch of manuals. And some Flash(?) menu I can't seem to run in Wine.

There doesn't seem for the Gizmondo either, can you believe that??

About thise gold/media kits: What can one do with backups of those, besides looking at the pretty filesizes (i.e. any way to actually run them)? Cause I always get errors when I try to run a copy of my (retail) Bomberman cart, despite it being identical to the No-Intro dump, so apparently retail dumps need patching... Are yours unprotected?

 

Lol. I talk abt MiniDVD with Media Content in these Kits. It's just .iso/.mdf files.
And U talk abt Dump of games. Of course U can't run your dump. To do that - game (dump) must be crcked.
And why U trying to run your dump, if this one already crcked by ENGAGE?

Well, there's systems where the security lies solely in not being able to dump stuff - once that is done it's game over (e.g. that recent Neo-Geo handeld). Apparently that's not the case for the N-Gage...

I was wondering if I could somehow do anything with all those review/prerelease dumps in the No-Intro set, seeing how there's no N-Gage emulator yet - maybe sth I missed, or did wrong. Unfortunately, not all versions of all titles have been patched.

N-Gage betas run just fine in retail units. You don't need a dev unit for that.

 

Yeah, if you're lucky enough to have them on their original carts. We were talking about dumps of betas though, which I guess will remain useless for non-devkit owners until someone comes up with an emulator.

 

Yep, as for Betas most of 'em are playable on Retail, but not all.
As for Alphas, 90% of 'em crashes/write an error when U trying start 'em on Retail.
And yep, I talk abt' original MMCs.
