Hello, I just got a hold of a N64 CD64. The main board has 2X Voltage regulators and one is dead beyond recognition (has a hole and broken in pieces). One is a 7805 Voltage regulator but the dead one I can't tell. Does anyone here has one and can check to see what it is or, if someone has been inside one of these and knows that'll help too. Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays!
OK so looking at my cd64 you have the two voltage regulators. It looks like the one labeled L78050V WKT08N9815 the board is printed 5V for this one. The other one is printed as 3V3 numbers on it are M84BD LM317T P+. I am assuming the 5 V one is the power from your adapter to the CD64 and the 3.3V one is from the N64 cartridge slot to CD64 to read cartridges . I will attach a picture in a couple mins. EDIT: PICTURE The two other pictures it looks like you tried to post arent showing up on my computer I am assuming it is of the regulators themselves?
Great! I can't thank you enough! Yes, they are a pics of the CD64 regulators shamelessly taken from the internet
