N64 Controller Fried my N64 AC ADAPTERS!

    With a 'crowbar' type protection circuit, it would probably need to be powered off and on again to reset it. The picture above doesn't show any (output) fuses on the American PSU, so I can only assume that there isn't a 'resettable' type fuse inside it (unless you can show me one), but instead a protection circuit.

    The fuse links in the Aussie (SOC2500 and SOC5000) and UK (equivalent) versions are definitely non-resettable fuses. I recently had a line stage blow-up in a Panasonic TV and the 1A SOC1000 fuse was open circuit. I actually broke the fuse open with a few taps of the screwdriver (it comes in a ceramic type package), and I could see the blackened fuse wire inside it.

    I guess a few close-ups of the American PSU would be more relevant as o/p has an American console.

    Never had the US one - but the UK one needs more than a power off/on.
