A question for you gurus out there... What is the "typical" setup for an SGI Indy workstation for N64 development (i.e., what CPU, RAM amount, etc. was typical)? I happened across an Indy (without RAM installed of course :banghead: ) and is badged R5000 (supposedly an R5000 150MHz, but with no RAM and no display adapter to fire it up, I'm not sure), and was looking to set this up as an N64 dev station.
I've been a lurker for a long time, and only recently started posting anything at all. It is no suprise that I missed out on such. But I know I have been looking for years now with no luck. The best I have come across was a bare board, which the dealer was too eager to get rid of (and heavy on the "This sale is final" mentality). No software either. Maybe someone in the marketplace will have one...
Ive got "cold hard cash". The problem is I tend to have to deal with "collectors" who's world would end if I broke up their collection of... game stuff. I dont care if it looks nice. I dont care if the official Nintendo logo is missing. Just sell me a kit I can use for less than a car
I have a cd with an SGI build on it (i dont know if thats the software needed for the board) I know nothing about SGI systems... Andy
Assembler: Are you telling me this because... you would be willing to get rid of it, or because you want me to cry....
....and you'll jump right off the window once you know i got mines for like 20$ from akihabara !!! XD
Right. There was one on ebay as far as i remember, but the auction got pulled by assembler because of the reserve price (or maybe because he sold it somewhere else?) Which makes me remember : I am still looking for a joypad extension!
