n64 Freezing then won`t start

Hello guys,
I`ve recently dusted off my old 64 for some gaming.
For some strange reason, after about 10minutes of playing Star wars racer, the screen freezes, then it won`t boot again for about 5minutes, the led won`t even come up.
After that the system works again then freezes after playing 10 mins, and so on...

It seems to be some overheating of some sort, it has never done that before.

Just for information it`s a ntsc console with the expansion pak, and NOT original power supply

what could it be?

I think I found your problem.

 

Yeah, I also think so, today I`m going to test with the power supply case open and see if it takes longer to freeze.
