Would it be possible to run N64 games at 480i with Gameshark? I'm assuming if this is possible, all games would need to use the expansion pak? Similar to Rogue Squadron. thanks
@Prometheus Any chance that youtube user shared Gameshark Codes for that? Would a line doubler like the OSSC be as precise as the videos you shared or is line doubled 240p to 480p different than internal resolution of 480i?
Sorry, meant to reply sooner but work sidetracked me. SubDrag made them. I know there's a download link for the patches for Banjo-Kazooie and Goldeneye. http://goldeneyevault.com/viewfile.php?id=398 http://goldeneyevault.com/viewfile.php?id=353 You have to patch the rom so it'll only work with a flash cart or other backup device. I guess you could use it in an emulator as well, but I don't really see the point. I don't think it's possible to do this with a gameshark but I'm no expert on the subject. Seems really complicated and SubDrag himself said it's a pain to do for each game. If there's a certain game you wanted to see you could always ask him if he'd be willing to take a look at it. You'd need a way to play the patched rom on hardware though.
It might just be better to wait for Peter Bartmann's RGB Board. It has hardware de-blur I believe and line doubling. https://twitter.com/borti4938/status/954273591708848128 Would line doubling 240p to make it 480i the same as internal 480i? Like the videos posted above with hacks?
