majority of N64 do not have analog RGB out at all... you would have to build a demuxer + 3x DACs to get RGB out of most N64, much like Game Gear and 3DO

  2. I have the early model with VDC-NUS chip that can be modded to support RGB but I don't have the schematic for the SCART RGB cable...

Do you mean the mod from the N64 to the AV port or the Nintendo RGB SCART lead?

From where are you taking the signal ? Directly on RCP\RDP chip ?

  7. I've made the mod from mmmonkey page; method 1 with lifting the legs. Now I need an RGB SCART cable and I don't know the schematic.

You've soldered the RGB signals to the AV connector, but you don't know the pinout?

  9. Don't know why nobody understand what I want -_-'.
First of all I've solder the RGB signal from the chip to the AV connector.
Now I need an RGB cable to connect the console to the TV.
What I want is the diagram for the RGB cable compatible with my N64 NTSC RGB modded.
The diagram (schematic) is the same like the SNES NTSC RGB cable from here http://members.optusnet.com.au/eviltim/gamescart/snesntsc.png? (only put capacitors to the RGB "line") or is different?

    Thanks!

Yes the diagram is correct, but without the capacitors. You can use a Gamecube SCART lead but you must remove the capacitors on the RGB lines. A quick fix is to twist the legs of each capacitor together so that each connection is bridged respectively.

Or you can try to find a PAL SNES Scart cable on ebay. I use it for my N64.

I build some N64 RGB Booster cables with the mmmonkey's guide.
Without this mod you have an dark picture with normal RGB cable.
When you use the N64 on an HDTV you really need an booster cable!

if someone like to buy an RGB Booster cable from me, feel free to PM me ;-)

Here an test with the booster cable:

And with an normal RGB cable, both on HDTV:

It's easy enough to build the Colour booster inside the N64 then you can use a standard UK SNES RGB lead. :p

yeah sure, its pretty the same build.
And i test it together. Both of this options are perfect. But i think the RGB Booster cable build is much easier.

you can also build an internal booster.

What about a GameCube PAL RGB cable? If you did straight from the encoder chip inputs to the AV connector, and used a PAL GC RGB cable would you still have a dark picture or a normal picture? I seem to remember hearing that a PAL SNES and GC RGB cable are different because the GC has some caps or something inside the cable. So if I connected RGB to the connector would my GC RGB cable work with proper picture and not a dark one? I guess it would help if I knew what this "booster" idea was.

I test it all. Without an Booster Mod you have an bad picture  .
It make than no differents what for an RGB cable you use to mod.
    But without ...

For the internal mod you need more parts. But like i say, both methods are with the same result.
Nothing happens when you use both together.
