Hello, I'm trying to rgb mod a NUS-CPU-04 N64. I installed the mod but get no video, but can hear the audio. I tried rewiring it a few times but it was always the same, audio but no video. I read it could be a c-sync issue so followed this but after cutting the trace and bridgeing the points I get no audio and no video so I repaired the trace and I'm back where I started. I have audio and no video. Here is a pic of what it looks like atm Anyone have any ideas whats up. I'm stumped and frustrated with it heh
what cable are you using? if you do that csync mod, you will not be able to use composite video anymore.
think the -04 needs the csync restored as the circuit is not on the motherboard. doesn't look like you have that built: http://www.assemblergames.com/forum...-quality-image&p=516472&viewfull=1#post516472 http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/downloads/retroaccess n64 csync.pdf but I don't notice anything wrong with the rgb install.
Just a quick update, turns out I was using the wrong value resistors. I had 3x4.8 kohm resistors out for another project and 3x100ohm resistors out for this project and used the wrong ones by mistake. When I soldered in the 100ohm's it worked straight away I tidied it up a bit and surrounded the Texas Instruments video amp in glue, it was a nightmare trying to solder to it without a soic clip so I didn't want to have to redo it hence all the glue Here is an example of my RGB modded NTSC N64 and my regular PAL N64 running Zelda. Thanks for the help mickcris
Cool. I did not notice the wrong value resistors the other day but now it really stands out that you mentioned it.
