As the title states, trying to get an estimate on an N64 test cart. It is a rev A and has damage on the front label. It works great. Estimates I've seen online vary widely. Just want to get some opinions on this one. Thanks!

Would you mind attempting to dump the ROM itself of the cartridge?
Nobody has ever posted a dumped ROM from the Nintendo 64 Test Cartridge and I think it would be really cool to be able to see what the whole thing is like, thanks in advance.

I know very little when it comes to dumping carts. I did read (I think on the NA forum) that these carts are tough to dump because the usual methods don't work. Perhaps because they were designed to be patched and updated as time when on, maybe the programming is different? I don't know.

I'm sure there's a way. If there's a way to get things onto it there's a method to get it off.

I'd say if you wanted to get some more info, make a post in the Nintendo section to figure out what your options are. (Or wait til Bobo shows up as he could give some insight)

I agree, I'm sure there is a way. Just might be tough, that's all. Just mainly looking for a price, but any additional info is certainly welcome. I may make thread for additional info later.

I've been told that these are un dumpable by normal methods, many have tried yet failed.
I've just managed to finalise a deal on the prototype for the controller test so hopefully that will dump.
In this condition probably worth around $400, the last rev b that I saw sold on eBay was $700.
I'm very keen on it if you'd like to sell.

If it's readable in the console, it must be dumpable. The console reads carts in a very specific way after all.

I wonder if people consider it "undumpable" just because the ROM utilizes extra hardware on the board. It looks like it has some weird connector on the top of the cart.

Regardless, a full system test ROM that could be booted on an Everdrive 64 would help console restorers everywhere. The SNES test ROMs are a great help when fixing consoles and controllers.
