hi folks, i dont know if is the exactly place for this topic, but i am having problems with my n64. The console is plugged on a LED Tv/monitor and good part of games run nicely (Expected from a old console in a new tv), but some games have problem of flickering/ blinkering, as i report in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmDYRmA2VX4&feature=channel_video_title The problem is not constant on some games. World Driver Championship flashes a lot, but in game is normal. Sometimes even the image dissapears on some games. Usually modifying the video system (NTSC, Pal-m or other one) minimize the problem.I dont have knowledge about but i guess that is something about the frequency or whatever thing similar. My question is have some way to fix it? I am using A/V cable, maybe using rgb mod or even vga. I thank you in advance for any help.
pretty sure its a ntsc/pal-m/pal-n problem, and choosing one of them manually instead of auto should solve the problem...Whats the color system on your N64? Its one of those assembled by Gradient? EDIT: if your N64 is one of the easier models to mod to RGB, then the color region wont exist anymore, just the sync rates (50hz or 60hz)
Hello HeXIGON, i try configure the noise filtering on my tv in all modes possibles but i didnt have the same luck, unfortunately the problem persist. Anyway thank you for your tip Well Padoca, my n64 system is USA version (NTSC). About choosing manually the color system, usually the games that i have problem to work properly dont have image and crappy sound when is on auto. Choosing Pal-N or NTSC i dont have colors, but showing the same flashing problem. On Pal-M is working like in the video that i posted, only flashing. So a console with Rgb mod theoretically can fix my problem? I am very happy about that, if true i will definitely search and buy a modified console. Thank you for your tip.
