There's no passion in this industry anymore. Is there a right and wrong time to put a PayPal donations button on a web page?
we should have a threeway chat someday with Kammedo. I know he is really busy as he's brilliant at what he does (his day job) and unfortunately my low level coding skills are nowhere near his... oh and by money/time ratio I'm not referring to any donations, just the free time and the clear mind needed to do the work, since a lot of time is actually spent trying to make money these days, just to survive
I am wondering if it is even possible to fully emulate the 64dd, considering nintendo hasn't even done it on the virtual console?
Nintendo just doesn't see the need for it. As for if it can be done, it's not all that complicated once you have the comm stuff documented out. The reason we never saw it sooner was not many felt a reason to do it. Lac tried but gave up since he felt it wasn't worth the effort (and he went so far as to get a dump of f-zero that eventually leaked out). Hell I tried one time but gave up since I lost my notes and was having trouble finding what method the 64DD used to notify the n64 it finished the cmd it was sent.
It's really not that big issue. The most difficult part is the sync'ing between the N64 and 64DD (and the fact that the system area of the disk needs to be dumped as well, which requires a patched LEO library).
Well push for it. I think it'd be great boost to push the release of unreleased DD stuff actually. Plus the F-Zero Level Editor alone makes it worth it at some point.
Honestly it be interesting to see sim city 64 translated, since the interaction with towns folk was something no sim city game has ever done since.
Have there even been successful translation projects? on N64 even? Though as a cartridge rom would it be so hard? That Sim City idea is great though.
Also wonder project j2, however for some reason current versions of project 64 have trouble displaying the text right and graphics perfectly.
