I've been looking for a new phone because I'm highly dissapointed with my iPhone and after reading many reviews I still don't know which one to get. I decided to post here since I know a few of you are cell phone savy. I really like both of them aesteticly and after reading many reviews I know that the k850i takes better pictures and the only reason not to get it over the n95 is the gps. Does anyone know if there is a way to get google maps on the k850i like on the iPhone? and also, will my "unlimited" internet access with my iPhone still work if i get a new phone and sell it? Also, which one has a better media player?
N95. I've used the media player on the k800, and the N95s is much better also, the N95 is huge amounts more powerful, and has tons more software. Also, I personally prefer the N95s GUI to the K850s. You'll also learn to love the GPs, got me out of lots of sticky situations.
Or the N82. It's like the N95 but in a "normal" form factor. Heck, I thought I'd stay with SE for the rest of my life but this is the first phone that made me consider switching (back) to Nokia...
After i switched to SE, i don't think i'll ever go back to Nokia. My K750 will have a long life. I have a 4GB Memory Stick, the MP3 player is good, the 2MP camera is great, and it has tons of apps (Google Maps, Opera Mini, Gmail, ...) and tons of games. I'll probably only get a new cellphone when it dies. PS: For Google Maps, just go to http://www.google.com/gmm/index.html using the Wap browser. If it has a version for my K750, there's obviously one for K850
I have a N95 but not the 8GB model I love it, sat nav, radio, mp3, I have my Slingbox connected so I can watch my TV/CABLE from anywhere. Also ORB so I can sign in/view my PC and it`s contents from anywhere So easy to use I know a few people who have Nokia`s and then went to SE and made a hasty retreat, a lot of it is the little mouse/key thing most of the SE`s have, bit like the N64 joypad, gets grit and dirt in
Definitly the N95, love mine to death it has so many features and software for it. The camera is top notch, mp3 player is nice as well and you can use your own 3.5mm headphone as standard.
Well, the d-pad issue has been resolved I think - my T630 had it pretty bad, but my W810i has been going strong for 18 months with no signs of d-pad wear... or any other wear for that matter.
What about the n82? 5mp carl zeiss... xenon flash... symbian os... gps... a2dp... yummy ? Any one wants to buy a mint 8gig iphone with extras ?
I have a N73 (the model down from the N95) and cant fault it, bright screen, great apps, symbian OS is fantastic to use, plus there are some pretty decent games out for it if you like that sort of thing, drag and drop mp3's etc, and a nice camera to boot! As for the Sonyericshite, my wife has had 2 different models of them, simply because there were 'cute', the build quality is shite, the sony software you have to install on the PC to put mp3s on the phone is a nightmare, the camera were poor even for supposed 2 megapixel Well thats my 2cents, when my contract is up the end of next month ill be going for the n95 or similar
Not to turn this into an SE-versus-Nokia argument, but I can just drag-n-drop all files to my w810i without no special software
Yep. The only thing i installed was the phone driver, so i could update the phone software. And if you want a really good software, try MyPhoneExplorer: http://www.fjsoft.at/en/highlight.php Anyway, try both and choose what you like.
Exactly what I did - Nokia 6600 (old phone, but still S60) - for approx 3 years SE K800i - lasted 1 year until joystick got gunked up and the speaker buggered up N95 for the last 6 months
