Yeah, that was yesterday at 9pm. Can't say I ever saw it to be honest.

First Camden Market, London burned on Saturday night, now the Namdaemun - if they were in the same country, I'd suspect foul play.

    This is horrible.

Reminds me of grafiti or marks done on ancient monuments such as the Persepolis or the Acropolis complex - some people just don't understand or value history.

That is really terrible, seeing as how old that building is. (I've been there.)

But, on the other hand, they will probably rebuild it. (Dirty?) little secret about many castles in Japan is that they've been rebuilt several times over the centuries due to fire.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namdaemun_(gate)

    Very sad.

I also saw on BBC America that chavs have started attacking Firemen in the UK. The world is a messed up place.

Yeah and on Nørrebro in Copenhagen, there some people had set light to cars, and when the firemen came. Then rocks were thrown at them. So Denmark is a messed up place too.

bah, they do that in Greece too, but to the Police, not the Firemen. We ve got enough fire up our ass every summer and I think everyone has had enough of that.

It started back in the 90's actually and has subsequently gone through the roof. In certain instances the 'youths' have been so numerous and volatile that the firemen have had to call in the Police in order to ensure they could tackle the blaze.

Generally gangs of what the British Press are describing as 'Feral Youths' pile tyres and wood into bonfires, or light dustbins or light fires in small back alleys and then call the Fire Brigade for their own private amusement.

In England it's on the increase, but in Scotland it has peaked and started to decline. Who the hell knows why these things become a trend or what the stupid bastards even see in it? It doesn't happen around here, but in crowded, boring housing estates with nothing to do other than roam around it's become a sport akin to 'Happy Slapping'.

Bring back the Mods, Rockers, Punks, Skinheads or any number of past fazes rather than the mindless pricks that are Chavs! I'd prefer them all to what we currently have to endure. Not even a movement of music to go with it, nothing worth putting on a badge or printing on a t-shirt. Not one of them has the fortitude of mind to come up with a meaningful slogan that captures their ethos. They lack a single cause other than alcohol. Mindless and shite.

Ambulance staff also face the same barrage of abuse, especially over the weekends when alcohol fuels everything in British city centers.

I was in contact with a little Chav for a bit....she was actually really nice and quite hot. She lived in Kent her dad was belive it or not a Police inspector. Anyways She dated a Yard for a while before she started to fear for her safety.

    So yeah, they're all over.

Yeah, but the police did almost a "Rodney King", that is why havoc came down on them.

Yeah, our police can be abusive, just like cops everywhere actually.

Just wanted to point out the irony of watching Japan report on a Seoul national monument being destroyed.

EDIT: Classy comments under the video, btw.
