Hello I recently purchased full cabinet with Naomi2 and Virtua Striker 3(module). I am having some problems, sometimes the system doesn't boot AT ALL, sometimes it boots but game get glitchy in middle of game play or freezes. I noticed freezing occurs randomly, I booted the machine 5 times and on each time I used Test menu to test the Naomi2 board. I noticed that the times that the machine freezed (ran the game after scan) it showed IC35 is BAD in test menu. But when it said GOOD for all the game ran ok and no freezes. What could be wrong, voltage issue or?
Like you said, you should check the voltage. +5V is adjustable, it may be you need to adjust it slightly.
1) Check the voltage 2) Check the connector pins between cart & naomi. 3) try getting your hands on a cheap naomi 1 cart and seeing if it has similar issues.
