Hey guys, I currently own a full Gun Survivor 2 arcade cabinet but space is becoming an issue and I've been considering making it more portable. Given that it has a special control device, would there be any issues in porting this over to "standard" controls (joytick + buttons)? It doesn't have a lightgun or anything, just a gun mount which acts as your movement, and two buttons (trigger to fire, and a special to shoot). I'd appreciate any help!
The game uses three pots, so you would probably need to build something (or even better just dismount the gun controller and mount it on something...). If you use the PSU (and I/O PCB) from the machine and a VGA monitor then the set up should be fairly easy, gets fun if you want to have 2 people though. http://www.namco.co.uk/PDF-manuals/namco-manuals/Gun_Survivor_2_Manual.pdf Here is a manual so you can think about how you could mount the gun on something else...
Yep it shouldnt be very difficult, you should find the guns cables at the bottom connection and solder them at an end of a mega drive pad! I wanted to do this for mine, but my cartridge is dead and the gun is HUGE :crying:
