Nasty Hentai stuff for consoles... does not exist?

I wondered, was there ever a real hardcore'ish hentai game to be released for home consoles? Officially?

I know that before CERO and all, there were at least a couple of "18" or "X-Rated" games for the Sega Saturn. I own some of them, but 99% are Mahjong games and I can't play that at all. Also I am afraid that there will only be breasts, awfully lame breasts. I'm talking about games like Suchie Pai (saturn), Super Real Maajan (saturn) or The Yakyuu Ken (saturn). And about the PC adventure ports, have these been entirely "freed" from their sexual content? Like 3X3 Eyes, Doukyuusei, ...?

So I know there were a lot of adventure titles to be released for the PC-FX and, not officially, PC-Engine. Does any of those come close to what we've seen on the Fm Towns and PC-98?

In addition to that, are there any commercially distributed unofficial games for vintage game consoles that offered hentai content? The only games I know about are the Game Express releases for PC-Engine and the SM Teacher Hitomi series for the Super Famicom.


As a side-note, I am not actually interested in seeing naked BOOOBs
I'm just interested in how the acceptance of sexual content in Japanese console games has changed over the years. At least there were boobs in games of the 32bit era, Dreamcast & PS2 had more dating-sims than any other generation and as far as I know, they're less sexual than a catholic priest (as long as no boys are involved, heh ;-))!

 

Well the FM Towns Marty was a console so technically yes there has been.

Ironically Idol Janshii Suchie Pai Mahjong started off as a normalish Mahjong game on the Super Famicom and the worst thing about the first Super Real Mahjong Game game was the fact your opponent smoked...

Officially the PC Engine (and a few on the PC-FX) and Saturn had the most ecchi like games, but again nothing but a few boob shots and most required you to understand the rules of Mahjong (although to be honest, mahjong is an easy game to learn, just harder to master...) or press a button a lot whilst you make an odd choice. There was the shooter steam hearts, and the PC Engine version of Steam Hearts is more ecchi on the PC Engine then the Saturn. Nintendo and Sony were more strict on what you could and couldn't do.

The Famicom, Famnicom Disc System, PC Engine, PC Engine CD-ROM, Super Famicom and Megadrive (woo all of two titles) all had more normal like adult ganes but the cost of PCs kept falling so it became less and less worthwhile for even doujin groups to both making games on consoles when you could play games on a cheap low end PC-9801 PC. The fact that the time the Playstation came around the machines had also got more complicated so all incentive had gone.

Sega after getting some backlash over the 18 rated games decided to remove nudity in late 1996 istr brought an end to nudity in most console games....

Quick trivia question - What normal game on the PC-FX featured characters that were from a dodgy hentai game.

The Yakyuken Special on the Saturn has full naked women. Yes, bouncing breasts and bush! Just check out the video on my site . Also Playboy karaoke has everything. Not really a game mind you but it is Saturn software, not video CD

 

at one stage I looked for the Playboy karaoke but gave up on that idea when I got married.

Would Dangerous Toys for the DC count? I'm not really sure if it qualifies as official or not. 3DO had it's share of sex games, although mostly more FMV than anything.

 

I thought that's watered down doujinshi port?
for 3DO there's nothing really qualified as the (H) apart from some lame edutainment(?) title(s) from Vivid(?) if I remember correctly.

I just watched your Yakyuu Ken Special movie vault snippet and apart from the fact that the girls aren't very hot, I was quite surprised how ecchi Saturn games have become until 1996. :O
It looks like you have to play rock, paper, scissors against the computer to unlock several stages of the striptease. Is that all the game has to offer? And are all the girls like JAMMING their legs together in the final scene?

Not that real pornography couldn't be get much easier, but as it's a Saturn game I guess I'll have to track that down ^^

All I know is that PC-98 Steam Hearts is a lot worse (or better if you are into hentai I guess) than the other ports!

One of which (Strip Fighter II) was developed using the Super Fighter game engine, officially licensed from C&E in Taiwan.

 

Or if you wanted exactly the same games and wanted to keep more of your money then you would find a PC-9801 (pref a laptop). You could buy a nice setup for less then the cost of an FM Towns Marty and the same games were always cheaper on the 98 family then on the X68000 or FM Towns. I remember buying Super Real Mahjong Part II.III for about Y1000 which was about 6 to 8 times cheaper then what I could fin it on the FM Towns...

Well technically most were made for the FM Towns rather then then Marty..

True, the FM Towns Marty is a console (more or less) but it's a fools paradise as most games at the time were published on 4 formats of DOS/V, FM Towns, PC-9801 and X68000 (but not as much as the others). The 98 series games sold the best and there are more of them and they tend to be cheaper...

If you use cinipac software you can watch all the videos from the disc without playing the junken game.

There was definetely one for the Dreamcast - which I'm sure was unnofficial - the name 'Milk' springs to mind but I'm not 100% sure... All I'll say is that it gave me quite a shock when I booted it up expecting some harmless love/sim game!
