    Hello,
I've got an NDEV today but I can't get it to run games for some reason ...

I installed the 4.3 system menu using the wii menu changer, and then I tried both ODEM and NDrun to run a game. I've set the REVOLUTION_SDK_ROOT environment variable and I have set the game root. When I try to run the boot.elf (created by dol2elf from https://assemblergames.com/threads/...-gcn-wii-elf-from-a-retail-gcn-wii-dol.41370/ ) with NDrun, the NDEV just boots back to the system menu. When I try to use the ddl, ddf and other files with ODEM, ODEM will load them, but the disc channel says it can't read the disc, and that disc check channel in the menu says "FATAL ERROR", but it does detect the game ID.

I've checked the ODEM readme, which said something about a FATAL ERROR occurring, but only if you try to run an ELF file inside the game root, which I don't.

What am I doing wrong and how may I get a game to start?

Is the game your trying to run stored on your Desktop? If so it will cause errors when trying to run the game. Here is my guide on Obscuregamers for reference to see if you set everything up correctly:

No, it's not on my Desktop. It's on C:\NDEV\main.dol and the disc files are in C:\NDEV\dvdroot. So, no spaces in the path either.
I've already seen that thread, and it didn't work. However, I don't try to start the game while I'm in the "devkit boot program" because I can't figure out how to get there (after I installed the system menu I was unable to get back there, even when I hold RESET during boot as I've been told). I'm trying to start it while being in the normal Wii system menu - but it just reboots the system menu.

EDIT: By the way, all the mega links in your NDEV Setup Guide are down.

There should be a menu uninstaller that will get you back to the basic NDEV menu. You can try that. Although you should be able to launch a game from the system menu so idk whats going on there.

And yeah I know about the links. I deleted my mega account. The links to the files needed are in the description of the Youtube video. I am not going to edit my post here as I wont be doing much here.

I uninstalled the Menu and tried in the devkit menu - it claims that the disc region (US) and the devkit region (EU) are different. Why is that an US disc? Its ID is RMCP, so, PAL ...

The regions were messed up apparently. I've removed the Wii menu to get back to the devkit menu, switched it to USA/NTSC, installed an US Wii menu and then tried to start my PAL game which is recognized as US game for some reason and it started.
