Now this is what I've wanted for so long. Model 2 Daytona USA on the big screen running in 1080p.

The problem is that I can't seem to find the right settings for the controls. I'm using a wired 360 pad but every setting I use seems to be too twitchy. Also the accelerate and break never seem right. Can someone give some suggestions on what settings would be best?

If you can't use a race wheel use a PS2 controller I find the set up and analog alot tighter than a 360 pad.

but the ideal thing to use would be a racing wheel

I don't have the program in front of me, but I'll tell you what I know from memory.

Make sure there's a checkmark next to "Steering," and that it's set to the X-axis of the 360 controller. And as for the acceleration and braking, you can either set those to the right stick in the same way (which seems a bit awkward to me), or you can click where it says "up" and set the controls to whichever button you want to accelerate, and "down" to whichever you want to brake.

Another possibility that just occurred to me (but which I've never tried) is that you could set the L and R triggers to accelerate and brake. That way you'd actually have analog control of the car. Worth a try if you don't like the way the buttons work with the game. I'll have a look at it when I get back to my apartment.

Hope that helps. And yes, the Model 2 Emulator kicks ass. Supermodel is also worth checking out, if you're a fan of Scud Race, and if your PC is fast enough.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm actually using the L & R of the 360 pad for the accel and break but they always seem to be fighting each other. I'll give that Up and Down a try

The bad part about setting L and R as accel and brake is that they are two extremes of the same axis, which can cause its own little problems.

I also have a question: how did you get the image to display in 4:3? I know you can do it by changing the setting on your TV, but I'd like to play it on my 22" ASUS monitor (which doesn't allow you to change the aspect ratio). As far as I'm aware there's no way to do that in the emulator, but I thought I should ask.

My TV and 22" Acer monitor both have auto detect for aspect ratios so it's all done automatically. The Acer at first would play all emulators in 4:3 how they should be but for some reason Nebula always ran in 16:9 which looked awful. A quick look at the monitor's settings reviled it had an automatic switch mode for aspect ratios which works like a charm.
