A NEC PC98 can someone give me some information on it. I have not a clue on is it japanese system only, a NEC running 98 or what type of computer it is.
it's early 16bit pasocom NEC produced as successor of PC-8801 series... PC-8801 series itself is successor of PC-6xxx series... PC-98 series is unlike others before it based on 16bit CPU and pushed as business machine at that time while PC-88 series was mainly aimed at home... PC-98 evolved though later with WIN compatibility and from what I recall later PC-98 series is quite different beast from early PC-98 series... maybe someone can fill in with more details as I used PC-8801SRMkII myself but lusted out for one in early 90s... (couldn't afford one though...) cheers
