    Hi everyone.
Yesterday i took out of the closet my supergrafx and my super cdrom2.
Played a little with SGX and everything was fine. I connected the super cd-rom2, removed the cart/chip from the sgx, turned on and... dead. It was working before.
    These might help:
Both units (sgx and cdrom) have their own psu (which is correct!).
The av cable is connected on the cdrom unit.
when i turn on the console the screen flashes and then everything is white. No images, no sound, no cd-rom bios boot. (Maybe it is white because it's a led tv but it 'should' be black?)
Cleaned the lens motor, put grease on the gears; it was a little bit hard to move, but now it's ok.
The lens, when i turn the machine on, do a micro-little-small up and down movement. that's it, nothing else.
    No visible damages or leaking.
    Plese help :(

Do you have a system card? That would allow you to test to see if the cd unit is recognized

Did you check the expansion connector for broken or bent pins? Did you try connecting them and disconnecting them a few times and trying again? Not seeing the BIOS at all makes me think there is a bad connection between the SGX and the built-in System Card which might be caused by a poor connection on one or more of the expansion pins.

A white screen is common with bad hucards, which in this case would be the built in system card. If you could check the drive and console each with a different drive/console that would be a quick way to narrow down where the problem is.

    Hi everyone.
i don't have other units to test it. I also tried launching a system card (1.0 & 2.01) with a turbo everdrive (first wave i think), but when i "press run" it freezes.
I'll check the EXT pins but they seemed ok.

I think pictures could help diagnose the issue and try checking continuity
