hi guys , i bought a Sony Trinitron CRT about 6 months ago and it didn't come with a remote. I found a site who had an original one but after a month they emailed back saying they can't get it in from their supplier. so yeah im stuck , i will list some details below of the CRT hopefully you guys know where i can get a compatible remote. I prefer an original Sony but i will settle for a off brand as its not easy sourcing an orig. Sony Trinitron KV-XJ29M31 68cm (29 inch) ( Australian model ) http://www.sony.com.au/support/product/KV-XJ29M31 chat soon
i actually got one, but still want to keep it incase i can find a 21" wega again. most on offer are 29" or bigger, which is tooo big for me . but what about this one ? http://www.remote-control-world.eu/...5/sony-wega-replacement-remote-control-p-1678
If they are fully working, its still a solid consumer market crt, great for all old consoles. "sought after", not really i would say, but if theres any old console nerd around you they would surely pick it up for free.
Sony WEGA CRTs are the best, I own three of them along with a few PVMs. Look for a Sony Remote along this era, even newer Sony TV Remotes have worked on my Sony WEGA HD CRT. Oh and if your TV has TWO RF Inputs, be sure the Remote has an ANT button, the only way to switch the RF inputs! Silver or Black, most Sony Remotes within the same decade should work just fine.
thanks for the tips and info guys , interestingly today i tried my PS3 remote and it works for basic functions i can't get in to certain things tho. Im going to order a different model but same era remote from the previous place and hopefully they have it in stock.
