    Hey Guys,

There are a couple of items I want to buy off of Yahoo.co.jp Auctions, and I've been told the best way is to use one of the following services: Jauce, Rinkya, Celga, however I've never done this before.

I was hoping I could get some feedback from members on their experiences with doing this and if there is a specific service they would recommend over something else?

I'm on a bit on a time crunch, on the items I want ends tomorrow so I would like to go ahead and have it setup today if at all possible.

I've gone to all three of the listed services above, however I can't find the items I'm looking for, even though I can find them on Yahoo's page.

    Any information would be helpful!

    Thanks
    Disjaukifa

I only used Shopping Mall Japan, but I wouldn't recommend them.

Four years ago, I bought something rare and expensive on Yahoo! Japan Auctions through them and paid for everything when they sent me the invoice etc. After receiving the box of purchased items I noticed this one item was not inside, so I contacted the customer support for assistance. They told me the seller originally didn't ship the item to them. They also said it's not their problem and I never got my money back. That's how I lost more than $400 USD to SMJ. :dammit:

Thanks for the advice, I'll be avoiding them. Has any used Jauce. I know another member has and seems to be happy with it, I was wondering if anyone else has as well.

    Thanks

I considered using SMJ sice their interface is easy to use but after reading Deryu posts regarding them I don't know if it's worth risking.

To be fair, I can say that the other 30 transactions I had with them were flawless. Though, I just can't recommend them after being screwed over like that. Their way of handling problems like this is not acceptable.

Yeah I'm not going to risk loosing 400 bucks, or even the amount I'm looking to spend! That is really poor business pratice . . .

Another black mark for SMJ from me. From what I can remember it went like this - I asked them to buy some items from a Japanese online store I was looking at (I can't read any Japanese so was going on a Google Translate). Nearly a month of fucking around later it transpired there was some kind of problem. Asked for them to refund whatever the deposit was, to be fair that happened immediately.

I went to competitor, Crescent Shop, which I think someone here recommended. Got a mail back within hours saying that the webpage and prices I'd been looking at were in the shop's "want to buy" section... embarrassing for me, but much more embarrassing for SMJ. They really should've spotted it straight away.

Still looking for the Umihara Kawase guide books if any kind soul in Japan happens across them ;)

There's also members on this very forum (of course, you still have to pay them for their time and effort), but this may be more of a hassle than using a service that is well used to... well, their service.

No need to bump a 4 year old thread to advertise. If you're a genuine new user, I'd suggest posting an introduction thread in the appropriate forum. Any further advertising will result in a ban.
