So a while back, maybe a year and a half, I had I can only assume 3 broken controllers. At the time I had an attempted Wii mod that didn't work out so, using the most expensive triwing screwdriver on ebay. It was like $12 including shipping... I took apart 3 very different controllers, an original purple from my bro's console, a black one from my console, and a silver one that I liked because it was shiny. The purple and black cases fit somewhat, so the insides and the cord are from the silver controller. My problem is since the mod the L-trigger hasn't worked. I picked up the Wii again and began playing with it knowing full well it won't work with any VC/Gamecube games. But it will work with Mario Kart for the Wii and not Double Dash. I haven't tested it with a 'Cube or anyone else's Wii/Cube. I've played with it taken apart, checked the line from the wires to the trigger and there aren't any breaks or anything. It simply doesn't function... Does anyone have any clue what may have happened?:shrug:
The first thing i'd do is check that the button on the case is matching up with the slider on the pcb, as you say you've made it from 3 different controllers. But if the right trigger works, I wouldn't foresee any probs with the left. The bit that confuses me is that it works with Mario Kart, but nothing else.
I went back in and just to make sure I used the start buttons` rubber pad thing for contact, and I checked again by checking this little gray hook/tab thing inside the controller and after a bunch of tests it still only likes Mario Kart for the Wii. I`m going to take it to a friends and try his `cube.
