first, guys and gals, forgive me as I have been out of town away from a computer, PSP, etc.

I was so excited about this on wednesday, even though I only read the details on it later on today.

Now, on psphacker, I read then only about the pros, but unfortunately, the cons, in which, according to several ppl, may destroy some parts nor all of the unit together.

For this, I need results from the other EMU users of this method on this board from this experiences. To be frank, and trying not to be ignorant, I need only the advice of people that have been going gung-ho on the emu use.
    Thanks for your time

    1. It is said that the constant switching of memory cards/sticks, one of the following may happen:

    - Memory Sticks become damaged/corrupted
    - Memory Stick slot gets fried

Has this happen to anyone? Also, they also say that a PC Memory Stick reader may correct a corrupted MS through Formatting. Is this true?

    2. If said emulator is set on sleep mode, it may make the system freeze, or in some cases, destroy the PSP indefintely. If so, please be specific on which program made it freeze, etc.

    3. Lastly, I really dont get the concept of 333mhz? Does changing it make the emulator go faster? Also, some say that changing this may break the PSP's insides, and others say that it will simply drain the battery faster (no biggie) Question is, which is the true case?

Thanks again for your help, time, and efforts.

    OK

    1) yes you *could* as in, walking out of the house today may result in you being eaten by a dinosaur

    2) never heard this, and sounds completely bollocks

    3) yes it does make it go faster, no it won't damage it as the native speed of the PSP is 333mhz, if you were overclocking it to 1Ghz and left it running for 3 years non stop it may damage it. Yes the battery may last a little bit shorter, but a the UMD drive is not beong used it will last far longer than when playing a game (think mp3 playing times)
