I’m trying to make an easy to use reference guide for Sony’s products with a DTL prefix. To go into the forums FAQ section. As you can imagine finding detailed information isn’t exactly easy to find but I have managed to put together a basic list so far thanks to places like these forums, Ling Jr‘s website, and companies like SN Systems. What I need now are details such regions and versions (especially for PS2) and proofreading for errors. I also haven’t even started collecting software information yet. If anyone can offer any information or suggestions, point out any errors, ect would be most appreciated.

DTL-H201A / Interface board for connection to NTSC TV and monitor
DTL-H2080 / Interface box for connection of controllers and memory cards to development board (requires special cards/controller)<------------------------------------------------->These must have model #’s as well. Does anyone know?

DTL-H700 / Interface board for digital sound (Mac)
DTL-H800 / Interface board for digital sound (IBM/ Power PC/ Power Mac)

You've missed out the 12v DC versions of the blue PS1 debugging station.......

    DTL-H1100 PS1 debug station (NTSC J) utilising 12v DC
    DTL-H1101 PS1 debug station (NTSC U/C) utilising 12v DC
DTL-H1102 PS1 debug station (PAL) utilising 12v DC

And the following PS2 debug stations that I know of also exist:

DTL-H10000 series feature PCMCIA slot at rear of console
DTL-H10000S - NTSC J PS2 debug station (PS2 printed on cover, this is NOT a TEST unit)
DTL-H10000S U - NTSC J PS2 debug station (PS2 printed on cover, this is NOT a TEST unit) SOLD IN USA, HENCE THE "U"

DTL-H30000 series onwards feature expansion bay slot at rear
    DTL-H30000 - NTSC J PS2 "TEST" debug station (110v)
    DTL-H30001 - NTSC U/C PS2 "TEST" debug station (110v)
    DTL-H30001 E - NTSC U/C PS2 "TEST" debug station, SOLD IN EUROPE HENCE THE "E" (240v)
    DTL-H30002 - PAL PS2 "TEST" debug station (240v)
    DTL-H30002S - PAL PS2 debug station (240v)
DTL-H30002 U - PAL PS2 "TEST" debug station, SOLD IN USA HENCE THE "U" (110v)
DTL-H30101 E - NTSC U/C "TEST debug station, SOLD IN EUROPE HENCE THE "E" (240v)

The DTL-H30100/1/2 were sold with 40GB HDD's and network adapters. Also worth noting is the DTL-H50000 series. These consoles do NOT feature the S400 i-Link port.

Apparantly there is a DTL-70000 series of debug station based on the PStwo... Although I have never seen one.

The 700xx series units aren't as common on the collector market, but they are not difficult for any developer (large or small) to get ahold of. Hell, at E3 every one and their brother (including very small, niche developers) had one of the damn things. ;)

While most will not bother retrofitting their devs with the new units (the DTL-H3000x series units are preferred by most programmers anyway) the newer ones are being used for replacements as older units wear out as well as any public or semi-public show where photos may be taken of a game on demo. After all, can't have the public seeing a brand new game run on an old piece of kit now, can you? ;)

In that regard they are much like the Platinum NR readers that Nintendo produced.

    Now a few questions.
    1. Did the different colored PS1 debuggers have different DTL #'s?
    2. What are the exact differences between a Test PS2 and a debug PS2?
    3. Anyone know what the DTL-H30005 PS2 is?
    4. Is the information about the power requirements correct? I don't want to be responsible for someone frying their system.

Thanks again everyone (especially dickibow) and once again if you spot any errors or have something to add please let me know.
