So last night my sister and I were talking about DOS... Not sure what brought up the conversation but she was telling me that we had a game on our DOS computer. All I remember that the DOS computer was a Compaq or possibly a IBM 5150 (8088), the monitor is very close to the one pictured, how ever ours only displayed green. I was around 4-5 years old when we owned the machine and my sister was 7 years old. So our memory is so foggy about this. The game we're wanting to find out contained a straight away a woman asking for a password before getting into the game. We have no idea what the password was or why she was asking this question. My sister tells me she was telling you to find something or the password from a Little Black Book. Also my sister says she looked like a Gypsy or looked similar to a Gypsy. I know it's not much information but that's all we know, and we're really scratching our heads. If this helps the system also had Prince of Persia installed, and I THINK two others but I'm unsure about that, again I was 4 years old. I have a feeling it was an adult game considering it required some kind of code from a book of some sort to play the game. As smart as my dad is, he threw the fucking machine away, and I really want to rip out his hair for doing so. SHOULD OF ASKED ME GOD DAMN IT. I still have the software OS floppies but not the system. :/ So that's all I know so far and my sister and myself spent hours trying to research this and came up with nothing. Hope someone can help us.
Copy protection back then used to ask for words from a certain page in the manual - to show you owned it. Internet wasnt so big, you couldnt easily google the word. Also, I assume you mean leisure suit larry?
Thanks man! Well guess it worked out for the best NOT to have the manual Can't believe I was right about the Adult game though. Really funny seeing my Dad bought this system from a cash converters store lol I owe you a beer now!
Yep you're right, even Transformers on the C64 had the same thing and did Batman as well? I downloaded the manual for the game but there is no numbers in it. Weird. Also even the scene when it asks for the girls number isn't happening. Was the game called "leisure suit larry" and nothing else. Googleing the game comes up with a few. I did however download the very first one which refreshed a few memories of being ran over when stepping on the road, but not sure if this is the exact one that we had.

from what you said, it also really looks like the game Frontier Elite 2 ( if you know what it is ). Sometimes in the game NPCs tends to ask you a password that you have to look inside a booklet you presumely own because you own the game. Tons of games did this back in the day, MetalGear 2 used tapcode so if you didnt have the manual you couldnt advance, but because that part was deep within the game pirates didnt realize it. Anyway, I think the real news here is hexigon's gamer sister, and her relationship status...
