A while back I traded for a Nintendo Test Station and the SNES addon. Unfortunately they were both severely damaged while being shipped to me. There was insurance on them, however we must prove that they are valuable. There has not been any completed ebay auctions in the past month or two.

I'm hoping someone has a link to a completed auction that I could use. Or if anyone knows of one that has sold elsewhere. That might help.

If anyone could help me out. I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks

One could argue the fact they (the ebay items listed above) are unsold means that they may not be worth the price quoted... I could stick a Sega SG-1000 MK 1 on Ebay for 10000 pounds and claim that because no one else is listing it then it's worth that much, thanks very much insurance company...

I know when I worked for a retro games shop we got people asking us to value things for them, if they wanted it in writting that item X was worth Y pounds (which we happily charged them for) then we wrote them a letter stating the item was valued at Y pounds and that seemed to satisfy the insurance people (as we were a registered company with companies house in the UK).

I just figured if they were crazy enough to accept something like an ebay listing sale price as value it's not less valid because he could list it for 10,000 pounds, and by it himself, making it sold.

Show that YOUR item ended for the price you paid. Include a credit card statement showing you paid that amount. Job done.

Unfortunately I did not pay for this system. It was a trade. So things are more complicated.

Unsold auctions aren't good enough to satisfy them. But thanks for trying :)

I might have to look into getting someone to sign something saying it's worth a certain amount. Hoever there are no independant gamestores within 2 hours of me.
