Hi guys...uhm well, I always wanted to put a 360 in a suitcase...
so far I´ve organized a Suitcase, jtagged the oldest of my 2 360´s,
and replaced the coolers with a
Zalman CNPS7000C-Cu LED for the CPU and a Zalman VF700-Cu LED for the GPU+EDRAM (I did it because the 360 is a Falcon but had Xenon Coolers and it keeps my 360 at 39°C CPU, 55°C GPU and EDRAM and 37°C MB after hours of gaming)

because of the coolers there is no space (and because of the JTag no need) for the DVD Drive that´s why i decided to make it external,
    but i got a problem:

I wanted to take a 25 pin SPI and solder the power and SATA cables to it, so I only need to attach one plug to the external DVD case.
That´s what i did, BUT it gave me an E65.

after thinking about I decided that i should try a thicker cable for the ground (I made all 3 ground from the SATA Plug into one ground)

after this i do get an E64...
    anyone got an Idea?

I used cables with a 0.2 mm diameter for all cables beside the ground from the SATA cable and the cables are around 25-30 cm/ 1 ft long and I ran out of ideas....
any suggestions for how to fix the E64 Problem are welcome
I guess i will get me a new SATA cable and try if the Drive works if i connect the SATA as usual and just connect the power cable with the SPI

Grounds are separate for a reason on the sata cable.

    well...recording to this topic : http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=719557

    it should work....

whatever i´ve just bought a new SATA Cable and if i connect the SATA on the usual way and only the power with the SPI then I sometimes get it working...and mostly it shows the "no DVD Drive connected" blinking Power LED

what im going to try later is just using thicker cables for the power....i hope that will work -.-
