I bought a used ps2 memory card at a pawn shop a week ago (got it for 10 bucks, which is about the cheapest over here) and upon cleaning it to delete unwanted save files, I stumbled upon a file only called "SMS", which uses the default ps2 3d icon, and as far as I can remember, that's not something that appears on your memory card along with the system settings and all, so I was wondering, does anyone here have an idea what this SMS file could be for?
It's probably the ELF file of the SMS Media Player. It's a homebrew app. http://members.casema.nl/eugene_plotnikov/
Oh I see. Well, it's probably useless to me for now, since I have nothing to exploit my fat ps2 for homebrew stuff right now.
if you google FMCB FREE MC BOOT you can find out how to use 007 agent under fire to exploit your memory card
independence is worst... you need a psx game for it. With the other one you don't need shit and you get a custom menu when you turn on your ps2.
cheaper than 007 is to burn a disc with ulaunch on it and hot swap to it, then install independence exploit or much better fmcb. Screwdriver is free to get the ps2 apart if you already own one.
Thats what you do with 007... you swap when loading the second mission and it loads the program to install it.
yea but just hot swapping any old disc is free vs. having to buy one you don't have, even if 007 does make it easier free is free XD
yah but not all games have al ELF file and even those that do alot dont work the two best are independence and 007 but independence only works for the fattys sony fixed it on the slims
