I need some help for an article about Virtual Reality hardware.

I'm sure i once read in a thread that a board member collected a lot of VR stuff - i think it were W. Industry / Virtuality 1000CS systems. Unfortunately i was not able to find this thread using the seach function.

Does someone of you know who this guy is?
Any other help from someone who has VR stuff would be great, too.

    Thanks in advance,
    Michael

Jay Smith had a few Atari Jag VR units I think. Could it be him? Just a stab in the dark.

There's actually a very new VR system for tours and other educational functions, and the videogame development lab in one of the universities where I had a project had one. I'll gather data when I go back.

If you mean something serious, with headtracking I can help.
however, be prepared to spend about $3000

    Thanks for that info.

@Assembler: I "just" need info for an article - no need to buy this stuff. :)
I think the time of VR will come - but for sure it's not now and not worth much money at the moment.
