Have you given up on the project, or did you find out the answer? If you post a question then find out the answer from somewhere else, you should always post the answer in the the thread(s) you posted the question, in case someone else would like to know the solution too.

I've thought about changing the red LED in the N64 with a green one, or even adding more lights (such as http://i.imgur.com/vmfjR.jpg or http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/6236/759/1600/pearl02.jpg) but my soldering skills aren't what you 'd call great (or even competent). I'm not really bothered about case mods, but I do think I'd like to add a few LEDs to the N64 - I wish the N64's case was totally transparent (not just semi-transparent http://www.giantbomb.com/profile/hizang/blog/why-the-n64-is-so-great-part-ii/86426/) as that would make a light mod even more attractive.

If you have changed the LED, or added more, then please post what you did, and if possible some photographs. If I ever decide to mod mine, I'd appreciate seeing what other's have achieved.

Found the answer myself so I deleted the question and replaced the initial post with the end result.

Quite happy with the outcome... ^^

As far as your question goes, I'm gonna look into making a little guide later this week.

Someone asked me to do that for them a while ago but I couldn't figure out how without risking breaking something.

That does look nice! Please post a guide, detailing everything necessary (assume the reader knows nothing - in my case that isn't far wrong...).
