Hello I have a FM towns II HR and some real games, and I have a probleme with Dalk; I haven't the boot FD -_- ! I would like know if it was be possible to make a real disk for towns with a pc or the FM and if it possible How? thank you in advance.
Dalk huh? ;-) Using the FM Towns for what it was built for? Can't help you with the FM Towns version (although I do have the PC-98 version of the game) but there are various utilities to make discs although you will need a Type 3 compatable drive (and most western drives aren't), although most USB drives do have this compatability.
ok I have bought a PC/mac usb disk drive it was in 3 mode after I don't understant how can I transform a D88 in a real disk what is the soft for make it??? and If I burn all my D88 on a CD can I open it with many soft on the fm for make disk on my real machine??? thank you in advance.
use FVIC (http://www.vector.co.jp/soft/dl/win95/util/se151106.html) to convert the file to an .fdi file. Then write the file using Disk Image (http://www.vector.co.jp/soft/dl/win95/util/se076285.html) It seems that finding hundreds of websites on how to play pirate games on emulators are 1000 a penny but finding websites that allow you to read your games and write them to fresh disks are a damn sight harder to do.
it 's very difficult to found sommes information ^^ thank you i Trie it when I have my 3 mode floppy drive ^^ have you somes link to found iso games and especially windows 95 for towns thank you in advance
No as I don't use emulators just these tools to backup and write to discs, if I want a game then I buy it.
I agree with you but before buying games i prefere trying it ^^ I have too many machines to buy random games. moreover I want to make boot disk fo a game I bought whose boot disk is missing -_- I'm a colector after all and iso are not vauable for me ^^ I'm a games seller ^^.
Some good FM Towns info on this page: http://fullmotionvideo.free.fr/pc98/articles/articles.html I use FIT-L for writing FM Towns floppy images to actual floppies btw: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15545 Cheers!
thank you for your links ConsoleFun the IC memory card article is very intersting I hope I don't buy bad memory card -_- I try it when it arrive at home ^^ my card (TOSHIBA PA2014U 16mb PC CARD MEMORY NW2014U)
Yeah you'll need an SRAM card mate. They're pretty expensive for larger sizes (6mb will cost you about £40) I'm not too sure how useful it will be anyway unless you have a HD already installed in your towns?
No I haven't HD inside but I have a scsi box with a HD and a cd-drive but the cable (scsi/centronic) to connect the box to the FM is missing -_- and moreover I can't find the windows 95 which is more simple for newbee ^^ Question : To install a scsi HD on a fm towns HR I need a special convertor. Where can I find or how can I make it?
Tell me the connectors you need and I might have the right cable, I have tons of Towns and PC-98 cables.
What sort are you after? I have lots of cables but the majority are older, PC-9801 and RGB/SCSI cables. Let me know what you want though and I'll take a look..
I'm looking for a centronic (50 pin) to scsi (50 pin) in micro d50, and a other rvb to vga if you have ^^ thank you in advance galine
I'll take a look mate, but won't be able to get to them for a couple of weeks so sorry if you're in a hurry..
I'm not hurry you can take the time ^^ passion is not a question of time but a question of patience ^^
